GREYLAG is being slipped tomorrow

by Allan Rosenberg

This is the second contribution I am about to write and if you read my first article, I’m the guy that got “boom knocked” out the boat in the first 10 seconds of sailing experience.

GREYLAG is being slipped tomorrow so I can definitely tell you that I’m about to have a “great” day in the hot sun, scrubbing the entire hull clean. Oh and I might add that Debbie is only accepting an invitation to the boat once she is afloat and ready to set sail so it’s me alone. Oh what fun!!!.

Peter Watts and his team will be doing most of the tool work and electronic stuff. I want to keep all my fingers so Peter be my guest. I’ll pass you the tools. I’m putting in a larger set of speakers coz I want a good sound > that part of me will never grow up.

Jake Opperman, thanks for donating 2 great pieces of wood for the sliding hatch section. I’m using  solid Iron Wood, so strong and weathers very well but you must protect the wood with raw Linseed Oil. I think I also want to take out the gas stove, I’m not such a keen gas person in such small spaces. A small microwave would be more suitable for (take off the Woolworths label and heat for 30 seconds) type of food.

There’s a big car-park so all are welcome to get stuck in, I got lotsa cheese cloth roll but not enough beers. See you there

Allan.
