1.         INTENT

1.1       The HOLIDAY 23 is a One Design Trailable Cruiser / Racer with a drop

            keel, created by John Robertson Yachts (Pty) Ltd to fulfil the many needs of

the sailor, from family sailing, round the buoy racing and coastal / inland waters

cruising or racing.

1.2       When competing as a One Design, the intent is that all boats will be

essentially equal and that racing will be a test of sailing ability.

Charlie’s Brewery Fun Worlds 2019

We are very happy to announce that the legendary Holiday 23 Fun Worlds 2019 entries are now open. This year sponsored by Charlies Brewery in Port Owen, the event is officially called the Charlie’s Brewery Fun Worlds 2019. Download the NOR & entry form below. Entries close on 5 April. We would however greatly appreciate getting entries in sooner. 

The Charlie’s Brewery Fun Worlds 2019 will be sailed in St Helena Bay under the auspices of Port Owen Yacht Club.

The focus of this event is to have fun in your boat so the races are short, the cruises interesting and the meals famous.

Vaal Dam Masters 2018

This is the time of year that all the H23’ers look forward to as the Holiday 23 Masters brought a total of 18 boats together in the racing and cruising divisions.

This event surely did leave room for racing, having fun and getting to know all the owners of the H23’s.

With very little wind on the first day, the yachts still managed to have a good sail, ending at VCA (Vaal Cruising Association) with a funny hat evening and braai.

From VCA the following day, yachts raced to LDYC (Lake Deneysville Yacht Club) for the first leg of the race and ended at Stilbaai for the evening.
